Admission Philosophy

A standard as high

At The London School of Law, we believe that academic excellence, professional integrity, and commitment to society are inseparable. For this reason, our programs are not open to automatic enrollment. Each applicant is individually evaluated in accordance with the principles and values that define our institution.

Admission is not based solely on academic credentials. We place particular value on vocation, critical thinking, and the sense of purpose that drives each applicant.

Admission Requirements

What we ask
of every applicant

To be considered for admission, applicants must submit the following.

First Requirement

University Degree

Applicants must provide proof of a university degree awarded by a duly recognized institution. This requirement ensures that all participants possess the academic foundation necessary to fully benefit from the rigour and standards of our programs.

In exceptional cases, certain programs may admit advanced students or professionals with relevant qualifications and experience, subject to the specific requirements of each program.

Second Requirement

Letter of Motivation

Each applicant must submit a letter of motivation addressing:

  • The reasons for seeking admission to the program.
  • The professional or academic objectives they wish to achieve.
  • The impact they hope to create within their community or professional field.

We seek students who are committed to lifelong learning, professional excellence, and the advancement of a more just society.

Third Requirement

Community Service Proposal

As part of our institutional commitment to human rights, access to justice, and social responsibility, each applicant must submit a preliminary proposal for community service to be carried out in collaboration with a non-governmental organization, foundation, or other non-profit entity.

The proposal should briefly describe:

  • The organization with which the applicant intends to collaborate.
  • The activities to be undertaken.
  • The anticipated social impact of the project.

This proposal may be refined and developed further after the commencement of the program.

Community Commitment

Law in the service of others

The proposal submitted at the time of application is only the beginning. We accompany students throughout the development of their community projects, recognising that this commitment is as formative as any seminar or lecture hall.

The Organisation
Applicants must identify a non-governmental organisation, foundation, or non-profit entity with which they intend to collaborate. The institution selected should reflect the applicant's areas of concern and professional vocation.
The Activities
Applicants should describe, in preliminary terms, the nature of the work they intend to undertake — whether in legal assistance, advocacy, education, research, or related fields. Precision is valued; ambition is welcomed.
The Anticipated Impact
The proposal should articulate the social impact expected from the project — the change the applicant hopes to bring about in a community, a life, or an institution. This is the heart of the exercise.
Room to Develop
This proposal need not be final at the time of application. It may be refined and developed further after the commencement of the program, in dialogue with faculty and fellow students.

Certification Requirement

A Certificate Earned
beyond the Classroom

Successful completion of the academic components of a program is not, by itself, sufficient to obtain a certificate issued by The London School of Law. All students must provide evidence of the completion of the community service hours required by the respective program.

We believe that legal knowledge reaches its highest purpose when it is placed in the service of others. Accordingly, every certificate awarded by our institution represents not only academic achievement, but also a tangible commitment to society and to the promotion of human rights.
